TASI falls 1.8% to 11,800 pts, total turnover at SAR 6.2B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1.8%, or 220 points, lower at 11,800 points today, Sept. 11, recording the lowest monthly close.
Total turnover reached about SAR 6.2 billion.
Brent crude fell 3.7% to $69.19 per barrel on Sept. 10, falling below $70 for the first time since December 2021, after OPEC cut its global oil demand growth forecast for 2024 and 2025. Nymex also declined 4.3% to $65.75 per barrel.
Market Index
Saudi Aramco, Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi National Bank each fell nearly 1%.
ACWA Power closed at SAR 385.40 (-5%).
Red Sea, ARTEX, Riyadh Cables, MEDGULF and Bupa Arabia declined between 4% and 5%.
Saudi Fisheries was the top decliner, falling almost 10% to SAR 23.94. About 7 million shares, valued at more than SAR 175 million, changed hands.
Company Prices
On the other hand, MESC rose 5% to SAR 40.20 amid trading of about 3.6 million shares. The company fully offset its accumulated loss and started making retained earnings as of July 31, 2024.
