TASI drops 1.6% to 11,769 points, total turnover at SAR 6.2B

Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1.6%, or 189 points, lower at 11,769 points today, Oct. 6.

Total turnover reached about SAR 6.2 billion.

The market experienced volatile performance, reaching a high of 12,004 points (+47 points) and a low of 11,763 points (-195 points). This fluctuation in the market index was primarily driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Al Rajhi Bank fell by 5% to SAR 80.10, with about 5 million shares worth SAR 400 million traded.

SISCO, Elm, Bahri, SACO, Saudi Ceramics, MBC Group, Dar Al Arkan, Jamjoom Pharma, Miahona, Lumi, and Arabian Drilling declined between 5% and 7%.

Al-Baha was the top gainer, rising by 7% to SAR 0.30. The stock gained nearly 90% after rising for the 10th consecutive session.
