TASI recoups losses, closes 1.1% higher at 11,194 pts
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1.1%, or 117 points, higher at 11,194 points today, April 7, the highest close since December 2024.
Total turnover reached about SAR 10.6 billion.
The index declined by over 400 points in early trade, reaching its lowest level at 10,657 points, before recouping losses to close in green.
The market fell more than 800 points in the April 6 session.
Asian markets reported significant declines today, as oil prices fell for the third consecutive day due to fears of a global trade war and recession following US tariffs.
Market Index
Saudi Aramco rose 1% to SAR 25.25.
ACWA Power closed at SAR 331 (+7%).
Tawuniya climbed 5% to SAR 131 after its board proposed a cash dividend for 2024.
CATRION, Sulaiman Al Habib, Mobily, Yamama Cement, Aldrees, Advanced, and Qassim Cement gained between 3% and 6%.
National Education shares topped today’s gains, rising 9%.
