TASI rises 1% to 11,303 pts, total turnover at SAR 8B

Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1%, or 109 points, higher at 11,303 points today, April 8.

Total turnover reached about SAR 8 billion.

The index rose over 300 points early in the day but lost those gains later.

Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi Aramco rose to SAR 96.30 (+2%) and SAR 25.40 (+1%), respectively.

ADES climbed 7% to close at SAR 15.20. The company renewed the contract for one of its suspended offshore platforms in Saudi Arabia for nearly SAR 1.09 billion.

Astra Industrial, Aldrees, Retal, Arabian Drilling, Shaker, Elm, and Al Akarai increased between 4% and 7%.

Zamil Industrial was the top gainer, rising 10%.

Americana recorded its lowest close since listing at SAR 1.90 (-5%), with more than 120 million shares traded.

Jarir and SMASCO closed at SAR 12.62 (-1%) and SAR 5.60 (-2%), respectively, after going ex-dividend.
