TASI falls 1.7% to 11,000 pts, total turnover at SAR 3.4B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 1.7%, or 189 points, lower at 11,000 points today, May 25, recording its lowest close in a month and a half.
Total turnover reached about SAR 3.4 billion.
The market's decline came amid renewed trade tensions and growing uncertainty over the financial outlook of the world's largest economy.
Market Index
Al Rajhi Bank and Saudi Aramco fell to SAR 92.10 (-2%) and SAR 25 (-1%), respectively.
SABIC recorded its lowest close since 2009 at SAR 57.50 (-2%), with approximately 1.5 million shares traded.
ACWA Power declined by 8% to SAR 251.
Saudi National Bank, Alinma Bank, Maaden, stc, Almarai, Elm, Mobily, BSF, and Dar Al Arkan closed down between 1% and 4%.
Saudi Chemical closed at SAR 7.59 (-2%) after going ex-dividend.
