TASI falls 2.2% to 10,476 pts; turnover at SAR 5.4B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed 2.2%, or 233 points, lower at 10,476 points today, March 1, recording its lowest close in nearly two months.
Total turnover reached SAR 5.4 billion.
The index recorded a low of 10,194 points (-515 points below the Feb. 26 session) and a high of 10,595 points.
The decline coincides with the start of the US and Israeli strikes on Iran and Tehran’s retaliatory multi-pronged attacks on Israeli bases and targets in the Gulf countries.
Market Index
Most stocks declined, with Al Rajhi Bank falling by 3% to SAR 97.55.
SNB, Acwa, BSF, Alinma Bank, SAB, Riyad Bank, SABIC, and Dar Al Arkan slipped between 3% and 6%.
Elm and SRMG fell by more than 9%.
