TASI rises 0.9% to 11,174 pts; turnover at SAR 6B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.9%, or 95 points, to 11,174 points today, Aug. 24, recording its highest close since May.
Total turnover reached SAR 6 billion.
The index recorded highs of 11,188 and lows of 11,077.
With today’s gains, the index is up about 600 points, or 5.5%, since the beginning of August.
Market Index
Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank rose to SAR 26.58 (+1%) and SAR 67.25 (+2%), respectively.
Acwa gained more than 2%.
Al-Fakhera, Saudi Re, Gulf General, SRMG, Naseej and Mutakamela jumped between 5% and 10%.
Northern Cement rose 6% to SAR 7.06 with nearly 2.7 million shares traded after the cash dividend announcement.
