TASI closes flat at 10,778 pts, total turnover at SAR 5.3B

Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed flat at 10,778 points (-2 points) today, Sept. 17.

Total turnover stood at about SAR 5.3 billion.

Global index provider FTSE Russell implemented its changes to the Saudi market today, which will take effect on Sept. 21.

The index hit a high of 10,808 and a low of 10,760.

The US Federal Reserve raised interest rates by 25 basis points to the 3.75-4% range, the first increase since July 2023. The Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) mirrored the Fed’s move.

Saudi Aramco fell by less than 1% to SAR 25.56. SNB and Acwa declined by 1%.

CGS closed at SAR 6.28 (-3%) after going ex-dividend.

Meanwhile, Al Rajhi Bank rose by less than 1% to SAR 66.

SPIMACO was the top gainer, rising 9%.

Kingdom Holding, Bahri, Emaar EC, Jarir, SACO and Raya Financing increased between 2% and 4%.
