Etihad Etisalat Co. (Mobily) has appointed Khaled Abanami as the new chief financial officer (CFO), in place of Kais Ben Hamida, the company said in a statement on Monday.

 

The appointment underscores the company’s keenness to empower national cadres to lead key roles, Salman Albadran, chief executive officer of Mobily, said.

 

Abanami has 22 years of experience. He held various senior positions at Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) and served as finance director at Kuwait Telecommunication Co. (VIVA).

 

He also worked as CFO and Vice President of shared services at Saudi Railway Co. and financial controller at National Water Co.
