Saudi Arabia to expand 'infath' role, liquidate real estate-related contributions: Minister

The Entrustment and Liquidation Center’s (infath) role will be expanded and will not be limited to a referral from enforcement courts, said Minister of Justice Walid Al-Samaani.  

He added that the role of infath will be extended to selecting the beneficiaries during the next two years.  

Speaking at the Real Estate Future Forum, the minister said that the center will act as a private sector partner and enabler for real estate’s liquidation.  

A  large volume of liquidations related to real estate and legacies are pending in the courts for years, disrupting large capitals, he said. 

Therefore, Infath is keen on speedy liquidation of real estate financial contributions that guarantee a fair price through on private real estate partners and specific governance. 

In cooperation with the General Authority for Real Estate, Saudi Central Bank (SAMA), and the relevant supporting authorities, the Ministry of Justice manages information on real estate property and benefits from “Tadawul” data through the platforms that will be launched successively. 

The real estate is currently not only a land plot, but rather a real estate product, he highlighted. 

All government services must meet needs of the beneficiaries in an accelerated manner, aiming to improve service quality, Al-Samaani said.
