KEIR awarded SAR 88.6 mln contract from National Grid

KEIR International Co. was awarded on June 15 a contract by National Grid SA to lay high-voltage underground cables to connect Al-Haram station within the program to strengthen major cities in Madinah.
In a statement to Tadawul, KEIR said the contract is valued at SAR 88.6 million, inclusive of a 15% VAT. The contract is expected to be signed by July 30.
There are no related parties to the deal, KEIR added.
National Grid SA is a subsidiary wholly owned by Saudi Electricity Co. (SEC), established in Jan 2012 and responsible to plan, design, develop, operate, and maintain the transmission network.
