Obeikan Glass launches work to establish 2nd float glass line

Obeikan Glass Co. commenced work on the second float glass production line at its existing plant in the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (RCJY), which will have a production capacity of 650 tons per day.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that an agreement was signed with Zhongyuan Glass Industry Equipment Co. for the supply of technology and part of the equipment for the new production line.

The supply of technology and part of the equipment constitutes the project’s implementation phase.

Any new developments will be announced in due course.

According to data available with Argaam, the company’s board of directors approved, in October 2024, the establishment of a second float glass production line at its current factory in RCJY at the cost of approximately SAR 520 million.
