Overview
Middle East Paper Company (Mepco) was incorporated as a limited liability company in 2000 with a share capital of SAR 15 million. In April 2015, 30% of the company's capital was offered in the Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul).
Mepco owns one factory for producing recovered paper, which is located in Al Khumra in Jeddah. The factory currently includes three production lines for producing paper with an actual capacity of 370,000 tpa of paper, set to increase to 440,000 tpa by end of 2016 after finalizing the development of the three production lines.
The subsidiary (WASCO), which operates in the field of collecting and recycling waste paper, secures 89% of the plant’s raw materials.
The company's core business is the manufacture and production of secondary packing paper (cardboard, Test Liner, Fluting paper, White Top Test Liner, Kraft Liner, Semi Chemical Fluting) and industrial paper (Coreboard, Plasterboard, Formica-absorbent Kraft).
