Aramco Digital qualified for CST’s specialized radio network license

The Communications, Space & Technology Commission (CST) said that Global Digital Integrated Solutions Co. (Aramco Digital) was qualified to obtain the specialized radio network license in the 450 MHz frequency band, after completing the regulatory procedures for the license.

 

The specialized radio network aims to serve the industrial and business sectors independently from mobile telecommunications networks. This network will aim to cater to the specialized needs of various sectors and aims to achieve the Kingdom's leadership in providing specialized broadband communications services.

 

CST board issued its decision to qualify the company for the license, which will contribute to enhancing digital transformation in the industry, energy, transport, health, and other national sectors. The specialized network will also enable applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the Industrial Internet of Things. CST earlier opened competition for this type of license to the public in March 2024.
