Oil tanks
Crude oil inventories in the US rose against forecasts in the week ended July 25, according to a report released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Crude oil inventories increased by about 7.7 million barrels last week, compared to expectations for a 1.6-million-barrel fall. Gasoline inventories declined by 2.7 million barrels during the same week.
Meanwhile, distillate stockpiles—which include diesel and heating oil—rose by 3.6 million barrels.
