Luxury Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company is set to open its second Saudi-based hotel in Jeddah, the kingdom's second-largest city, this summer.
It will be operated by the Ritz-Carlton for Saudi’s ministry of finance, reinforcing its existing partnership with Ritz-Carlton Riyadh.
Located on Al Hamra Corniche, the hotel will hold 224 guest rooms, including 30 royal suites, according to the company’s statement.
It also comprises other facilities, including meeting spaces and a grand auditorium that can accommodate 1,500 guests.
The luxury hotel’s opening in Jeddah echoes the kingdom’s burgeoning status as an economic powerhouse attracting visitors from around the globe, the company said in its statement.
Herve Humler, chief operating officer of the Ritz-Carlton hotels, described the opening as “a much-anticipated milestone” that emphasizes the company’s commitment to the Kingdom.
The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company currently operates 88 hotels in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Caribbean.
