Tasnee’s polyolefins company resumes production after shutdown

26/07/2011 Argaam

Saudi Polyolefins Company (SPC), 75 percent owned by Saudi Industrialization Co. (Tasnee), resumed operation at a production facility, a week after it was shut down for technical problems.

The stoppage had limited impact on production and negligible effect on sales, ICIS petrochemical publication said, citing a company official.

SPC has two production lines which produce 700,000 tons of polypropylene. Lyondell Basell holds a 25 percent stake in the project with Tasnee.
