TASI falls 0.8% to 11,494 pts, turnover at SAR 4.7B

Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 0.8% or 89 points, to 11,494 points today, Oct. 12. 
Total trading reached SAR 4.7 billion.
The index opened today’s session at 11,372 points, recording a high of 11,532 points and a low of 11,320 points (-263 points compared to last Thursday’s close).
 
The fall in the index coincides with the resurgence of trade tensions. President Donald Trump announced on Friday that the US will impose an additional 100% tariff on imports from China, effective Nov. 1.

Market Index

Saudi Aramco declined more than 1% to SAR 24.50.
 
Al Rajhi Bank and SNB fell by 1% to SAR 106 and SAR 38.06, respectively.
 
Almarai, Maaden, Riyad Bank, stc, SAB, Saudi Electricity, SABIC AN and Jabal Omar slipped between 1% and 2%.
 
Naseej led the market decliners, dropping by 10%.

Bahri and SASCO gained by more than 7% to SAR 29.64 and SAR 70, respectively.
 
Savola closed at SAR 26 (+5%).
