TASI ends 0.1% down; traded value at lowest since 2019

Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) ended 0.1%, or 15 points, to 10,526 points today, Dec. 25.

Total traded value reached nearly SAR 1.66 billion – the lowest level since 2019.

The benchmark opened at 10,534 points, hitting a high of 10,553, and a low of 10,515.

Aramco and SNB dropped nearly 1% each to SAR 23.69 and SAR 38.04, respectively.

Maaden, Riyadh Bank, Bank Albilad, Mobily, SABIC, and Saudi Kayan also shed between 1% and 4%.

Chemanol and flynas were the biggest drags, falling by over 5% each.

On the positive side, CGS led today’s risers, jumping 6% to SAR 9.60 with a traded value of around SAR 3 million. The company announced signing a contract with SANAD at a total value of SAR 166 million.

Riyadh Cables, Al-Jouf Agricultural, Aldrees, Astra, SASCO and Theeb gained between 2% and 4%.

On the other hand, trading on Saudi Cable shares was halted today. The stock traded 1% up at SAR 144.60, with 42,000 shares traded at SAR 6.2 million.
