TASI starts 2026 with 0.6% rise, turnover hits 7-year low
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) rose 0.6%, or 58 points, to close at 10,549 points today, Jan. 1.
Total turnover reached nearly SAR 1.6 billion, its lowest level since December 2018.
The benchmark opened at 10,502 points, touching a high of 10,558 points and a low of 10,497 points during the session.
Major stock exchanges were closed today due to the New Year holiday.
Market Index
Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank rose by less than 1% to SAR 23.88 and SAR 97.70, respectively.
ACWA Power, Riyad Bank, Almarai, BSF, Alinma Bank, SAB, Aldrees and Bank AlJazira gained between 1% and 3%.
Abo Moati, CGS, MEDGULF, and SHL increased between 5% and 7%, with AlKhaleej Training gaining 8%.
