TASI falls 1.8% to 10,364 pts, records lowest close since October 2023

Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 1.8%, or 185 points, to 10,364 points today, Jan. 4, recording its lowest close since October 2023.

Total turnover reached nearly SAR 2.6 billion.

The benchmark opened at 10,538 points, touched a high of 10,539 points, and slipped to a low of 10,349 points.

The majority of the stocks fell, with Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank down by 2% to SAR 23.50 and SAR 96, respectively.

SNB, Maaden, ACWA Power, Sulaiman Al-Habib, Riyad Bank, BSF, Almarai, Bank Albilad, Alinma Bank, SAB and SABIC declined between 1% and 4%.

UCIC, Gulf Union Alahlia and Arriyadh Development fell by 5%.

Meanwhile, SIECO was the top gainer, rising by 10% to SAR 2.56. Nearly 30 million shares were traded.

Burgerizzr closed at SAR 9.39 (+2%) after the extraordinary general assembly approved the capital increase.
