TASI falls 1.2% to 10,818 pts; turnover at SAR 4.5B

Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 1.2%, or 127 points, to 10,818 points today, Jan. 15.

Total turnover reached nearly SAR 4.5 billion.

The benchmark opened at 10,938 points, touched a high of 10,939 points, and slipped to a low of 10,791 points.

The market decline coincided with a drop in oil prices of more than 2%, after losses had exceeded 4% earlier in the day.

Saudi Aramco and Al Rajhi Bank fell by 1% to SAR 24.80 (-1%) and SAR 101.90 (-2%), respectively.

SNB, Riyad Bank, Alinma Bank, Almarai, Bank Albilad, Dar Al Arkan, and SAB declined between 1% and 4%.

Thimar was the top decliner, falling by 7%, followed by Baazeem, down by 5%.

Meanwhile, GO and CGS were the top gainers, rising by 3%.

Bahri and Zahrat Al Waha followed with increases of 2%.

Alistithmar REIT rose by 4% to SAR 7.36, with nearly 260,000 units traded.
