SABIC slides to 17-year low
Shares of Saudi Basic Industries Corp. (SABIC) dropped to their lowest level since January 2009 at SAR 48.20 today, Jan. 8.
The stock closed at SAR 50.90 (+0.5%), with trading volume reaching approximately 3.6 million shares valued at SAR 180 million.
The TASI-listed petrochemicals major announced today divesting 100% of its engineering thermoplastics (ETP) business in the Americas and Europe, expecting non-cash losses of about SAR 18.3 billion.
