TASI drops 1.4% to 10,852 pts, turnover at SAR 7.3B
Saudi Arabia’s benchmark Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) fell 1.4%, or 159 points, to 10,852 points today, Nov. 24, recording its lowest close in two months.
Total turnover reached nearly SAR 7.3 billion.
MSCI will implement changes to Tadawul today in line with its periodic index review announced on Nov. 6.
The benchmark opened at 10,999 points, touched a high of 11,002 points, and slipped to a low of 10,852 points during the session.
With today’s decline, the index is down about 1,200 points or nearly 10% since the start of the year, compared with last year’s close.
Market Index
Saudi Aramco fell more than 1% to SAR 25.24, dragging the index down by over 55 points because of its heavy weighting. Nearly 24 million shares worth more than SAR 600 million were traded.
Al Rajhi Bank declined by 3% to SAR 97.50.
ACWA Power, Maaden, SNB, Mobily, stc, Dar Al Arkan, Riyadh Cables, BSF, Bank Albilad, SABIC, and SAB slipped between 1% and 4%.
SENAAT fell by 7% after the company announced that a company had filed a lawsuit against its subsidiary, seeking compensation of up to SAR 376 million.
Nahdi was the top decliner, falling 8% to SAR 100.50, recording its lowest closing price since its market debut. Almost 4.4 million shares were traded on the counter.

Bahri, Jarir, Rasan, Astra Industrial, Dallah Healthcare, and Yansab increased by 1% to 2%.
Miahona led the gainers, rising 6% to SAR 21.75.
